Cass + Chris’ wedding day was one for the books. From start to finish, it was a day that reflected exactly who they are—strong, joyful, and full of life. These two may not be native Texans, but they’ve embraced their new home with open arms, and I can’t think of anything more “Texas” than saying “I do” at Lucky Spur Ranch & Retreat. My kind of people!

The ranch was the perfect backdrop for their celebration—wide skies, rustic charm, and a little bit of that Texas grit. The day unfolded with all the beauty and grit this state is known for. And of course, the storm held off until we were finishing up with their portraits, then it rolled in, thunder echoing across the pastures. Most couples might have panicked, but not these two. Cass + Chris just laughed, held onto each other, and glowed as if the storm was part of the plan. That’s who they are—resilient, magnetic, unstoppable together.

One of the most powerful moments came when they slipped away for a private first dance before guests arrived. Imagine it: the reception hall perfectly set, candles glowing, flowers standing tall, the storm pressing against the walls. In that stillness, just the two of them swayed to their song, wrapped up in their own world. Tender, intimate, and unforgettable.

As the night went on and the last dance came to a close, it was clear just how many people had poured their hearts into making the day so magical for them. From the planners, and florals to the music, cake, and catering—every detail sparkled with care. It truly took a village to create this unforgettable celebration, and it all came together perfectly for Cass + Chris.

Cass + Chris have become more than clients—they’re friends. And I feel so dang blessed they chose Blackall Photography to capture a love story this fierce, this beautiful, and this Texas.
