ABOUT KELLY

Hey y'all! I'm Kelly...wedding & portrait photographer extraordinaire!! ;)

I sure do love what I get to do. Portraits, families, seniors, and weddings—especially weddings—fill my heart right up. Back in my early 20s, I started as a certified wedding coordinator, and it didn’t take long before I realized this was where I belonged. In 2008, I took the leap and created Blackall Photography—a boutique wedding service with a whole lotta love poured into it—and it’s been one of the best choices I’ve ever made. From the excitement of the proposal to the vows on the wedding day, I never get tired of telling love stories through my lens.

My love for photography began with my Grandpa Bear. He’s the one who taught me how to shoot and process film, and those afternoons spent together are memories I’ll carry forever. I’ve still got a few of those old prints tucked away, and they remind me that photography has never just been a job—it’s a passion, an art, and a way to hold on to life just as it is.

I really cut my teeth on storytelling at Lewisville High School (Go Farmers!), working on the yearbook and newspaper staff. I can still remember the smell of the developer in the darkroom, and how proud I felt when a story came together in pictures and words. Then in college, I was handed my very first digital camera with a simple “Here, learn this,” and so I did.

Another big part of who I am is my faith. I’m grateful to call Northview Baptist Church my home, where I get the joy of serving as the Church Photographer. I love capturing the smiles, the music, the baptisms, and the sweet fellowship of our church family. My relationship with God is the foundation of my life, and while I’m still learning and striving every day to understand what it truly means to be a good and faithful servant, I am so grateful for His grace and guidance.

And then there’s my hometown pride. I grew up right here in Lewisville, and I love being part of this community. Old Town has my heart—the parades, the small businesses, the Friday night lights, and the way neighbors show up for each other—it’s everything I love about small-town life with a big heart. Serving this community through my photography, whether it’s weddings, portraits, or marketing, feels like giving back to the place that shaped me.

I’d be honored to tell your story too—and I can’t wait to meet y’all!

I live in the heart of Old Town Lewisville, Texas, in the most perfect little old farmhouse—no farm animals, but plenty of charm! I married My Cowboy, and we have the coolest pack of dogs, who always keep life entertaining.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll more than likely find me outside. Whether I’ve got my bow in hand, my hands in the dirt gardening, or I’m just sitting on the back porch, there’s something about being outdoors that grounds me. Archery is a thrill I don’t get to indulge in as much as I’d like, but when I do, it’s the best kind of therapy. And gardening? That’s my happy place. Watching something grow and tending to it with care—it’s a lot like photography in a way, nurturing moments until they bloom into something beautiful.

But sometimes, it’s about slowing down. Lounging by the pool with our pack, soaking up the Texas sun, or just doing a little porch sitting—those moments are just as important. I love getting the chance to put down my screens every once in a while and just be. And on Sundays, you’ll find me at church with my people, filling my soul and surrounding myself with the folks who lift me up. My faith is my foundation, and Sundays are sacred in our home—that’s why I don’t book weddings or portraits that day. I guess you could say I’m the Chick-fil-A of photographers—always closed on Sundays!

Armed with several pro-Nikons (no hobbyist gear here!) and a lineup of killer lenses, I capture moments as they truly are—bold, bright, and full of life. No filters. No outsourcing. Every image is hand-edited by me to ensure the colors, textures, and emotions are exactly as they should be.

At the end of the day, I love what I do, and I love the people I get to meet along the way. Whether I’m capturing your biggest milestones, those sweet in-between moments, or just chatting over coffee here in OTL, I’m here to be your storyteller. Your memories deserve to be told beautifully, and I can’t wait to help you share them.
